Lots of pop songs today have giant music videos released the same day to grab as many views as possible…often getting millions of views in minutes and hitting a billion pretty quick….but it takes a little longer for big pop songs of the 80s…since MTV was the only place to get videos (which by the way launched 40 years ago last week, August 1st 1981)…but it finally happened for Rick Astley, the video for NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU up recently hit 1 billion views. It helps that it was pretty cool to “Rick Roll” for a long time!
