What's in the $350,000 Oscar Gift Bag?
On Sunday night, a couple dozen people will leave the Oscars with either a gold-plated statue, or the "honor of just being nominated." (???)
And some of the nominees will walk away with something else: A gift bag worth $350,000. Not all of them get one . . . mostly it's just the VERY important people. This year, that includes:
Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael B. Jordan, Jessie Buckley, Kate Hudson, Rose Byrne, Jacob Elordi, Elle Fanning, Teyana Taylor, Delroy Lindo, Josh Safdie, and Emma Stone.
So what's in the bag? Here are some of the highlights:
1. An exclusive Arctic villa getaway with Northern Lights views.
2. A ten‑day restorative reset in Sri Lanka.
3. ArtLipo elite body‑sculpting liposuction.
4. Facial rejuvenation procedures from Dr. Konstantin Vasyukevich, whoever that is.
5. A custom prenuptial agreement from Celeb divorce attorney James Sexton, whoever THAT is.
6. A gold-plated cold storage cryptocurrency wallet.
7. High-potency cannabis products.
The Oscars don't give out these bags anymore. It's an independent thing done by a company called Distinctive Assets. And they know this has the stink of "the rich getting richer" on it.
But they say the bags showcase and elevate, quote, "small businesses, minority‑owned brands, female entrepreneurs, and companies that give back at a time when everyone can use a little more fun and frivolity."
